New Wellbeing Hub for A Kind of Magic Animal Centre

In June 2024, we proudly gained approval for an exciting new project in Kingskerswell, Devon: a purpose-built wellbeing hub for A Kind of Magic Animal Centre.

This new flagship building will enhance the centre's ability to connect visitors with nature, promoting health and well-being in an environment designed for tranquillity and growth.

A Kind of Magic is a remarkable organisation dedicated to improving the lives of young people with additional needs. The centre offers a serene, spacious outdoor setting where individuals can interact with a variety of animals and participate in engaging, low-demand activities. The new facility will improve these offerings, creating an even more fulfilling experience for all who visit.

The new well-being centre will significantly enhance the facilities at A Kind of Magic, replacing the existing timber structure, which currently houses a hardstanding, hay store, and stables.

Designed with year-round usability in mind, the new building will provide a warm, dry, and welcoming environment, enabling the centre to expand its services regardless of the season.

This thoughtfully designed space will feature a sensory room, a small animal room, internal WC facilities, a kitchen, and a communal area. These elements have been carefully planned to support a diverse range of activities, offering visitors a comfortable and engaging environment to connect with nature and animals.

By creating a purpose-built, inclusive space, this new facility will strengthen A Kind of Magic’s ability to improve the lives of young people with additional needs, providing them with opportunities to thrive in a peaceful and supportive setting.
